About Eszter Farkas

Meditation and yoga instructor in Budapest

Looking to find your calm and find connection in your life? Welcome. I’m Eszter and I’m a meditation and yoga instructor based in Budapest.

As a certified mindfulness meditation and yoga instructor with a decade of teaching experience, I would love to be a part of your journey.

Before becoming a meditation and yoga facilitator, I worked as a journalist and communicator in challenging environments. From Sudan through Ghana and Palestine, I worked in fast-paced settings with the United Nations and a news organization. Despite feeling overwhelmed and on “high alert” at times, my practice allowed me to check-in with myself. This helped me regulate my nervous system, and find a sense of calm. Since I discovered yoga in 2005, it quickly became an integral part of my life. Ever since then, I have enjoyed countless benefits of mindfulness and yoga, and I would love to share them with you!

Whether you’re interested in group sessions or individual instruction, or seeking corporate mindfulness and well-being offerings for your organization, I would be delighted to meet you and practise together.

How I became a meditation and yoga instructor

In my yoga journey, I transitioned from the rigorous ashtanga tradition to a softer, more adaptive practice. This shift stemmed from both personal injuries and a deep internal reflection on what I really needed.

My teaching philosophy centres on the importance of deep listening. I encourage my students to tune into their bodies’ signals and do what feels right for them. This approach fosters a non-judgmental attitude, allowing individuals to take charge of their own practice.

By prioritizing these principles, I empower students to embrace yoga as a personal path, fostering self-awareness and self-compassion in the process.

If my approach resonates with you, I invite you to get in touch and schedule a session.

With consistent practice and care, we can create more space, calmness and nourishing relationships in our lives.

Meditation and yoga can help us reduce daily stress, prevent burnout, and find our centre.
