Staying afloat while dealing with winter depression
Difficult sensations and emotions may occur when one is deeling with “winter depression.” Regular exercise, meditation, taking in sunlight and staying in community may help to maintain some lightness during wintertime.

Breath and bandhas: aliveness and sustanaibility
Once we learn to use a fuller capacity of our body space and expand the breath, we not only create space for physical release to happen, but we also open up the mind.
Ultimately, creating space in the mind is one of the purposes of yoga practice.

Holding space for pain: it’s okay to be not okay
All sorts of vibes are welcome, you only need to show up for yoga class. Maybe you will face some of your dark side and also realize that that cannot exist without the light, just like the light needs darkness to shine.

Conscious breaths can be a great resources for calmness in the mind. Personally, I feel that finding ways to get fully into the body and ground myself is probably the first step to start getting out of a headspin.
