On a slightly rainy October weekend we got together in Budapest to practice vinyasa yoga, yoga nidra (a deep, conscious sleep state), meditated, had some healthy, green smoothies, and talked about the eight limbs of yoga. After a delicious vegan meal, we walked — and alas, the sun came out! – and by practicing inversions and arm balances with lots of playful but energy-demanding preparations, we looked right into the eyes of our fears and stepped out of our comfort zone.
The second day brought some energizing asanas, we learnt more about the breath and the bandhas or energy keys in the body, and played! We started trusting ourselves and each other, felt our weight, balanced and did some acroyoga basics. Namasté.
